I’m feeling trapped trying to make some space for grace
But can’t believe the horror that’s taking place
We lost a lot of people that we can’t replace
& we’re polarized with two sides that can’t embrace
That’s why I’m sipping on my favorite grapes
But I long to see my fam face to face
But right now I’d even take mask to mask
& ask em all the questions that I haven’t asked
But as time is passing fast I slow it down have a glass
Just feeling grateful that I have a task
Which is finding joy in the midst of pain
Seems to do that I have to be a bit insane
Stay aware of the body & forget the brain
Waiting for COVID-19 to end it’s reign
I’m praying so a higher power’ll make it so
